Cyprus Forest Industries is a Public Company established in 1970 and registered on the Cyprus Stock Exchange. The main shareholder is the Government of the Republic of Cyprus (51% of the stock capital) whereas the remaining 49% belongs to about 600 private shareholders. The Group which employs 110 people has a Board of Directors which is elected at the Annual General Meeting of the shareholders and is administered by a professional management team headed by the Chief Executive Officer.
The Group comprises Cyprus Forest Industries Ltd , the holding company, and two subsidiaries, PEP Ltd and XYLOFORM Ltd .
The Group is the only producer of industrial wood panels on the island. A wide range of wood products are produced in five plants:
- Melamine faced chipboard – MELAPAN.
- Veneered faced chipboard and MDF – PEFKODEC and VERNIDEC.
- Kiln dried timber.
- Specialised plywood like wood veneered plywood, marine plywood, film faced shuttering plywood, etc. are produced by PEP Ltd at its plywood mill.
- Highly specialized decorative panels and furniture components are manufactured by XYLOFORM Ltd.
All the products of the Group are manufactured in accordance with the highest European quality standards. The wide range of high quality products and the fast and efficient service have secured the Group's leading position in the local furniture and woodworking industry.
